July 2019

We took our annual trip to Utah for the 4th of July...

It was packed with fishing, quad riding, archery, gun shooting, hiking, parades, and fireworks. We look forward to this trip every year and are so grateful for this tradition.

When we got home, it was straight to birthday party mode.  I'm so happy the boys don't mind sharing a party every year. This year they decided on a waterslide.

6 years old!

8 years old!

After the festivities, Scott and I met up in New York with the Ellsworth's. We love this city so much.

Hamilton was amazing! It literally became our instant favorite Broadway show of all time. We even went to Hamilton's grave afterwards.

We also saw "To Kill a Mockingbird".  I  was really excited to see Jeff Daniels play Atticus Finch, but he didn't impress me much with his take on the character. He had some big shoe's to fill because Atticus is my all time favorite character,  I  love how he stands for peace and justice in the most classy and patient way. His character is filled with wisdom and understanding, and it's something I    strive to be.  So, I was disappointed when Daniels played him to be loud and harsh. I  did however love to see my favorite book come to life.

Dear Evan Hanson was my least favorite, but it was still fun to attend.

Washington Square Park

Magnolia Bakery

Bike riding in Central Park

Live with Regis in Kelly was fun to watch once we were inside, but it was pouring while we waited to get in.

Lots of subway rides

Blink 182 concert in Central Park!

9/11 memorial was our favorite. We got a tour guide for this one, and she shared the most touching stories and memories. I always leave New York with more pride for our country and for the men and women who serve and die for us.

We also got to go inside the temple. Next time I'd love to do a session.

Some other exciting things that happened this month was...

Dallin started nursery!

A few years ago we started a tradition where I take each kid out on a mommy date to buy "back to school" things. We always get ice cream or something after.

Max is the kid that gets the most excited for these dates. He'll talk about what he wants to do all week, and ask a million times if it's our time for the date yet. I love it and hope he wants to hang out with me like this forever.

I've caught Porter reading books to his siblings more and more often lately. It seriously melts my heart. He's such a good big brother.

More beach trips and playing. I don't want summer to end.
