May 2018

Well, it's May so that means it's graduation time!

Porter completed the 3 year, "Let's Play Music" program. He knows his chords, finger numbers, recognizes beats, lots of music language (piano, forte, staccato, etc.) and he can read music! I can't wait to see how well he does in piano lessons next year.

We got a beach house with Autumn's family for Mother's Day this year. It was a fun little escape.

This was Dallin's first beach trip!

We rented a boat one day and drove around the harbor.

We also got to welcome baby Lane this month! I love that all of our kids are so close in age.

Max had his last day of preschool.
I can't believe how fast this kid is growing.
I've been doing my own "reading lessons" with him twice a week, and he picked it up so well! He really is a smart kid, and has such a desire to learn. My favorite part though, was the one on one time I got to spend with him.

He also loves to build things with his friends (Ezra and Bryson).

Him and Porter had their yearly physicals this month and Max didn't cry or flinch at all with his shots.

We also got Chinese food for dinner the other day and he asked for more "china spaghetti".  I'm only using that name for chow mein from now on haha.

Kennedy has been busy bossing her friends around during play dates haha. She is full of sass! I'm hoping this will be a good characteristic in her life as she gets older.

Dallin is still growing like a weed.
His surgery scar is healing so well. I've been massaging it daily and putting sunscreen on it to make sure it heals as best as it can.

This is what he's doing at 3 months old...

Sleeping through the night!!!!!!

Smiles all the time

Loves to chew his hands

Knows his mom and wants to be held by her all the time

Swats at toys when they're above him

blows bubbles

babbles with sighs and yells

on 5/25 he flipped from his back to his belly

April 2018

Let's start with Easter.

I'm feeling especially close to the Savior this year, and experiencing the atonement in a new light. I felt His love for me as I learned of Dallin's lip, and possible heart problems.  I felt Him with me during surgery, recovery, and every moment since. Because of Him, I know my sadness, trials, and scary moments are not experienced alone. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ and I'm so happy we got to spend this special day with family.

And here's the rest of the month.

We've been staying indoors quite a bit, so it was nice to venture out and go to an Angels game.

This was Dallin's first Angel game, but it won't be his last.

Dallin also had his first trip to Disneyland!

The kids love when Uncle Justin visits

Dallin update:

He sleeps 3-4 hour stretches at night, and I have this magical zen sack to thank for it! It's lightly weighted so he feels like he's being held. Why did it take me 4 kids to hear about this thing?

He also started cooing this month and it's the sweetest sound.
He's currently 13.1 lbs and 25.5 inches long

Denny girl has needed some extra love lately. She loves Dallin but misses "mom time".

She got some clothes from Candice, and the first thing she did was hug them and say, "I love them mom!"

Her and her best friend, Ellie, have been inseparable lately.

Max is just the happiest camper that ever did live. I hope he never loses his smile and continuous joy. If I had one word to describe him right now it would be sunshine!

One thing about Max, is he is always the first to fall sleep, we even caught him sleeping in the cupboard one day!

Porter got student of the month and is continuing to be a big helper. He loves his baby brother, and talks about how much they look alike often.

His teacher, Mrs. Geiger, is the best!
