June 2015

June 2015

I'll start with the most exciting news...It's a girl!!!!!

On June 10th we went in for another ultra sound and found out that baby #3 is a princess!

I'm so happy, and can't wait to start playing dress up.

We asked the boys if they wanted a brother or a sister and they both said, "brother". But when they pulled out pink suckers to find out it was a girl, they didn't act too disappointed.

Scott is over the moon to have a "daddy's girl", and I know she's going to have 2 protective older brothers watching over her.

Can't wait to meet our little one!

I have to post this pic of our hike in the Botanical gardens. We had such a fun family day, and I love seeing how much the boys love their dad.

We had the boy's Birthday party at the end of this month.
Porter really wanted a "Ninja Turtle" party. He's never seen the show, but he loves playing with the toys. Max was easy going and got excited about the "turtle" theme too.

I just love these boys so much!

Each guest got to pick a mask, and come to the backyard for some water fun!

The boys loved all the friends and cousins that came.

The waterside was a hit...

and so was the slip'n slide!

The games included a water balloon toss...

and hot potato!

Porter blew the candles out like a champ!

Max ended up napping for half of the party, so he missed the cake...

but he woke up just in time for presents!

I can't believe another year has passed already. Time is going way too fast!

May 2015

May 2015

Holy cow, we had so much going on this month!!!!

Max:

Went to the dentist for the first time and has no cavities!

He LOVES the strawberries from our garden and usually eats them right off the plant. I was lucky enough to pick these before he got to them...but the second he saw them they were gone.

Porter:
He loves when friends come over, and often waits, and looks out the window until they arrive.

Finished his soccer season with 2 goals! He got a medal and a trophy at his team party, and hasn't put either of them down since.

More events for the month...

We took the kids to the temple for FHE one night.

I'm not going to lie... they weren't as reverent as I thought they would be. In fact, once they grabbed on to the temple doors they started swinging from them...

but, the rest of the week Port was talking about the angel Moroni, and Max wanted to keep reading our temple book. I'd call that a success!

We made a couple more trips to Disneyland before our passes expire...

We made a mess playing in the boys room...

and, we wear pirate hats as we paint!

Scott and I went to see "Les Miserables" at the Fox theater.

I love that musical so much, and haven't stopped singing the songs since we've been back.

"Super dad" took the boys to "Father's and Sons" camping at Lake Perris.

This was Max's first year going, and looking at these pictures you can see that he loved it!

The boys were so happy to have their cousins visit this month.

They stayed with us while Scott, Romney, Charlie, and Dylan went back packing in Sequioa National park!

Scott's been working so hard lately taking care of me while I'm sick. On top of that he's been helping with the boys, working at work, teaching seminary, and being on the high council...he REALLY needed to get away.

He said it was cold, but worth it.

Him and Romney have had an ongoing "bromance" since our first Europe trip.

I got Scott back for a couple days, then he was off to Utah, to look at some properties. While he was there he did a beautiful hike with Carla's family.

Then he was off to his next adventure with the boys on my side of the family.

They planned a fishing trip to Panguitch Lake...

I'm pretty sure they were happy with all their loot.

I'm glad he got some bonding time with my brothers, but after this trip, I was really ready for Scott to come home.
