February 2013

This month started with a trip to the snow. I took the Young Women from our church to stay in a cabin, and Scott and Porter came along with us.

Porter had never been to the snow before and he had such a good time. We took him sledding and I was nervous that he would fall, but he was fearless. Scott would send him off from the top of the hill and I would catch him at the bottom. Each time I would stop the sled, he would start crying because he wanted to keep going.

A couple hours in the snow wore him out.

It was such a fun trip.

We went to an arcade for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Kraft and Jessie, Dean, and Kylie. I love this picture of the two of them on the motion ride.

This month Porter has discovered discipline  I've been having an issue with him hitting other kids as well as myself and Scott. We've started "time out" this month and it doesn't seem to be helping. We explain to him why he's on time out, we make him sit for a minute, then we explain why he was on there again, and ask him not to hit anymore and to say he's sorry.
Now when we put him on time out, he sits down and instantly says sorry and gives me a hug, thinking he can get up right away. Looks like we have our work cut out for us.

The nursery leader recently told us that she has to watch Porter closely when coloring because he always tries to eat the crayons. She said he saw her watching him so he covered a crayon with one and hand tried putting it in his mouth with the other...little sneak.

On February 23rd we found out we're having another BOY!

We are beyond excited. I love that him and Porter are going to grow up so close. I love that I already have boy clothes in the correct season, and I love that we can have joint birthday parties!

Boys are so great.

January 2013

This was a big month for Porter because he turned 18 months old!

Here are some fun facts about our big guy...

He's in the 97th percentile for height (no surprise there)

He weighs 26 lbs

He LOVES to wear hats: He won't leave the house without one on. It can be a snow hat, a beanie, a baseball cap, a cowboy hat, he just loves wearing them.

He also loves shoes. For a while he wouldn't wear anything but his snow boots, but we recently got him a new pair of sneakers and he was giggling while I was putting them on him. As soon as I was finished he ran to my room so he could look at himself in the full length mirror. What a crack up!

He's talking soooo much. He pronounces candy as "nandy", Elmo as "Melmo", and Kylie is "Dylie". He likes to say "no" a lot, and hasn't mastered the word "yes" but it's adorable when he nods his head.

The best part about being 18 months is that he can start going to nursery at church! The first week he went with no problem. I think he was excited about a new place with lots of kids and toys. But the following weeks were a little rough once he realized we left him in there for 2 hours.
He'll get the hang of it.

This month Scott finally got to use the present I got him for Fathers Day. He went Paint balling with some friends and had a blast. I'm not exaggerating when I say he had a blast. He seriously didn't stop talking about it for a week. They're planning to go again soon!

December 2012

This had to be the busiest month ever!

But it was a fun one...

In the beginning of the month we took Porter to the San Diego zoo. He LOVES animals, so I really enjoyed watching him . He never wanted to leave each animal.

The Gorillas were my favorite. They were leaning against the glass and a baby gorilla came up to Porter and smacked the glass right where he was standing. Porter got scared, but didn't want to leave him. It was so funny!

He also loved the petting zoo.

He likes to ride goats just like he rides his dog.

A few days before Christmas we announced to our families that we're pregnant. Porter wore this shirt and we told everyone that he had something to tell them. It was a lot of fun!

CHRISTMAS MORNING!

Not sure why these pictures are so blurry, but this Christmas was so fun because Porter kind of understood what was going on.

Santa brought him a train set, books, Disney movies, PJ's, and lots of cars.

Mclain had Porter in the cousin gift exchange and he gave him an Angels backpack, a ball, and...

a Basketball Hoop!!!!

Porter gave to Hunter and he got Star Wars Legos.

He still loves the paper and boxes...

Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Williamsons.

They have the best backyard!

A few days after Christmas we were able to go to Sea World with all of the family that was still down visiting.

Porter loved watching the shows with Grandpa and Aunt Heather

And playing in the kid center...he may or may not have knocked that other kid down.

His FAVORITE character Elmo was singing on stage and afterwards we were able to take pictures with him. The entire 30 minutes we were in line, Porter kept trying to run up to Elmo and cut in front of the other kids. When it was finally our turn he started to walk towards him and half way up realized he was scared and came running back to me crying. Needless to say, I had to hold him for this picture.

He loved looking at all of the aquariums....

It was such a fun trip.

Sometime this month Porter got into my lipstick. Black mail for teenage years????

We love it when Candice has a break from school because we get to visit with her and Ensley! Porter is so affectionate with her...she doesn't seem to dig it so much.

November 2012

Baby #2 is on it's way!
On November 5, 2012 we found out I was pregnant with our second child. I had a feeling that I was pregnant so I took a test in the morning while Scott was getting ready for work. It immediately showed positive so I wrote a note that said "I'm going to be a big brother!" and I told Porter to go show daddy. He handed Scott the note and he was so happy. We're so excited to meet this new addition to our family.

I don't have many pics to show this month because I've  been so sick.  Not just morning sickness...miserable all day sick. There were many days where it was hard to leave the couch. This is when I introduced Porter to  Sesame Street. Poor guy had to be couped up in the house on most days because it was hard for me to leave. I also got these horrible migraines that would make it hard for me to open my eyes. I'm lucky that my husband is so amazing. He's gotten up with Porter every morning and took care of him before work so I could sleep in. He's helped with cooking, cleaning, and anything else that needed work.

Husband of the Year: Scott Williamson

I'll take full blame for Porter watching TV, but video games goes to Mclain and Bryant :)

We spent Thanksgiving with my family this year. How did I not get any pictures of that?
